Thoughts on setup: one-time or ongoing?

I’ve been thinking about the whole setup process for this kind of remote workflow software and training. Initially, I assumed most of the work would be a one-off deal—one sign-up, one onboarding, then I’d just get on with using the tool indefinitely. But it’s clear now that there are ongoing elements too. For example, the database requires regular updates, and the dialer software had small changes through automatic updates that I needed to adapt to each week. The payment and invoicing process is of course recurring, which makes sense, but the sign-up felt straightforward and well explained. The training gave me a decent foundation, but I’m realizing I might need refresher resources or to ask for telephonic support occasionally. That showed me it’s not totally hands-off after getting started. I’m not entirely sure if the balance between one-time and continuous requirements suits everyone, but it does feel like the setup part is just the beginning of a relationship with the software. If I had a friend asking me, I’d say it’s a flexible system but expect to stay engaged with it—sometimes you'll need to catch up on changes or payments, other times just use it smoothly. It’s been a bit more dynamic than I first thought, so I’m cautious but interested in how it will fit longer term.
