Annexe A — how this website processes data
Added 16 August 2026. The policy above dates from 16 June 2022 and describes the WFHI service. This annexe describes what the website at wfhi.in does, which changed when the review and complaint features were added. It states current practice and does not alter the terms above.
If you submit a review
Published on the reviews page:
- Your rating, your title and the text you wrote.
- The display name you chose, or “WFHI customer”.
- The city and the experience month, if you supply them.
- The verification label and the publication date.
Kept private, and never published, shown, exported or linked:
- The phone number or email address you supply. It is stored only as a keyed HMAC-SHA-256 digest, which cannot be reversed to recover the number, plus a masked form such as 98******10 so a moderator can recognise it without reading it.
- Your order, invoice or account reference.
- Any file you attach.
- Your IP address and browser user-agent, again only as keyed digests, used to enforce rate limits and detect duplicates.
Your review text is also scanned automatically before it is stored, and anything resembling a phone number, email address, order reference, link or long identifier is removed.
If you submit a complaint
A complaint has to be answerable, so your contact detail cannot be hashed. It is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and is readable only by WFHI support working directly on the server. No page, no API and no analytics event returns it. Your name, the category, your description, the outcome you asked for, any attachment and a keyed digest of your IP address are stored alongside it. Nothing you submit as a complaint is published.
Files you attach
- Stored outside the website’s document root, in a directory readable only by the server account, under a randomly generated filename.
- Never served over the web. There is deliberately no route that returns one.
- Accepted only as JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF, up to 5 MB, and only when the file’s actual contents match the declared type.
- Never attached to an analytics event and never written to a log.
How long any of it is kept
- Published reviews: until you ask for the review to be withdrawn.
- Evidence for a rejected review: deleted 90 days after the decision. The record that a decision was made, and why, is kept.
- Complaint records and their evidence: deleted 365 days after the complaint is closed.
- Rate-limit counters: 2 days.
- The moderation audit log: kept indefinitely and never edited. It is the record that a review was handled according to the published policy, and deleting it would defeat the purpose. It holds no contact details.
Who else sees it
Review and complaint data is not shared with any third party. The website loads Google Tag Manager, which loads the analytics and advertising tags WFHI has configured; those see your browsing of the site, not anything you submit through these forms. The pages you visit are also recorded server-side, including the referring page and any campaign parameters in the address, as described in section H above.
Asking about your data
Write to [email protected] to ask what has been stored about you, to correct it, to update a published review or to have one withdrawn. Because review contact details are stored only as one-way digests, quote the phone number or email you submitted with so it can be matched.
This annexe describes what the software does. It does not claim certification under, or compliance with, any particular law or standard.
