setup fees were okay but monthly stuff is a pain

Honestly the billing and payments setup wasn’t as smooth as I hoped it’d be. There was this one-off setup fee which I’m okay with because it does cover the initial things you get like software access and the first training session. But once the ongoing payments start rolling in, it feels like a lot more than I initially thought. The monthly charges keep coming, but it’s a bit confusing figuring out what part of the service is included versus what you pay extra for. The invoicing system itself is decent enough and generally clear, so at least I don’t have to waste time chasing up payments or clarifying invoices. The automatic updates don’t cost extra and work fine without interrupting anything, which is a small win. The telephonic support helped when I had questions on the billing side, but sometimes the wait times felt longer than I wanted. It seems like there’s a decent chunk of ongoing payment just to keep using features like the calling dialer and the database, which I guess makes sense, but it wasn’t made very obvious upfront. The training and onboarding fees felt mostly one-off, but the real cost that stuck was this continuous monthly billing. I just wish the company was clearer about what’s one-time and what’s recurring, especially when it comes to software usage and support.
