setup expectations vs real training: a bit of give and take

When I signed up for the training and onboarding provided by WFHI, I expected a mostly one-off setup experience, where I could learn the basics quickly and dive into using the software without much ongoing guidance. The initial few sessions did meet this expectation by walking me through key features like the dialer and database tools. However, as I progressed, I realized that ongoing support and refresher training would be necessary to keep up with some of the updates and more complex functions. The training wasn’t just a simple checklist; it involved repeated practice and follow-up which, while helpful, wasn’t something I fully anticipated. It’s clear that some aspects require continuous learning due to software enhancements or changing workflows. Overall, this mix of one-off and ongoing training has worked out okay, but I do think that setting clearer expectations beforehand about the continual nature of the learning process could improve the experience for future users. On the upside, the trainers were patient and easy to reach, which helped bridge the gap between my expectations and reality.
