Expected ongoing ease but setup was more one-time work

I went into the buying process thinking the setup would be a smooth ongoing thing, where I could adjust things regularly with little effort. What I found instead was that most of the setup was one-off and required a fair amount of work at the beginning. After that, maintenance was easier, but I expected more flexibility to make quick changes on the fly without going through complicated steps or needing additional training. The sales pitch hinted at regular updates making things easier over time, but those updates seemed more about stability than added features. I got what I paid for but it wasn’t quite what I’d anticipated.
