Confusing labels caught me off guard

I had some expectations about the onboarding process, especially regarding the wording and labels that guide you through the initial setup. I imagined it would be more straightforward, with navigation cues that match common software language. However, I was surprised how some of the labels felt vague or ambiguous compared to what I’m used to elsewhere. For example, sections titled with abstract terms left me unsure whether I was updating my profile or adjusting preferences. On the other hand, I will give credit to the fact that the step-by-step instructions helped somewhat in clearing up the ambiguity, so once you started, you could follow along. Still, I often had to guess what a label meant or look up help documents to confirm my actions. The flow wasn’t as intuitive as I hoped, which slowed down my progress in the initial training modules. Compared to other digital training platforms I’ve tried, this one needed more clarity in wording and better defined labels. I think the experience could improve with simpler terms and more consistent phrasing throughout the onboarding screens. Overall, the process surprised me not in the usual positive way but in a way that made me more cautious and slowed my learning curve.
